2
Look inside the fridge at home with a grown-up. Name three foods kept there and say why they need to be cold.
For example: milk, yoghurt and cheese, because cold keeps them good longer.
3
Draw a timeline of four ways of keeping food. Put the oldest first, on the left.
Order: fire to cook, drying and salting, glass jars, electric fridge.
4
A cold box test: 3 boxes melted 4, 6 and 10 spoonfuls. Which box is best? How many more spoonfuls melted in the worst box than in the best box?
The box with 4 is best. 10 − 4 = 6 more spoonfuls.
