I grow and I can do more
Discover Term 1: Axis 1, Chapter 1
GoalSay that I grow older and can do more things, and put ages in order.
New words
age · how many years I have livedyounger · fewer years oldolder · more years old
Explanation
I was a baby once. Then I grew. Now I am six years old. My age tells how many years I have lived. A baby is younger than a child. A child is younger than a grown-up. When I was a baby I could not walk or talk. Now I can run, draw and talk. When I am older, I will be able to do even more!
Worked examples
Mina is 2 years old in one photo and 5 years old in another. The photo at 2 is the younger Mina.
Order from youngest to oldest: 1 year, 4 years, 6 years.
Now I can run, write and read. A baby cannot do these things yet.
Class activity
