Make a mask

Discover Term 2: Axis 4, Chapter 3
GoalPlan and make a mask that shows a character or a feeling, safely.
New words
mask · something we wear over our face to show a characterdesign · a plan of how something will look
Explanation

A mask can show a character, like a lion, or a feeling, like joy. First we look at masks and ask: What shape is it? What colours does it have? What does it show? Then we plan our own design. We draw the shape on card. A grown-up cuts out the eye holes, and they must be big enough to see through. We colour the mask and add paper or cloth. Last, we tie a string at the sides. We never run while wearing a mask.
