Jobs are important

Discover Term 1: Axis 1, Chapter 4
GoalName some jobs and say why every job is important.
New words
job · the work a person doesimportant · we need itthank · tell someone you are glad for their help
Explanation

People have different jobs. A farmer grows food. A cook makes meals. A driver takes people to places. A teacher helps children to learn. A nurse helps people who are sick. Every job is important because we need each other. If nobody picked up the rubbish, our streets would be dirty. We can say thank you to the people who work for us.
