Write the number words from zero to ten in order on a strip of paper. Read each one aloud.
zero, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.

Find a number word at home, in a book, on a packet or on a poster. Write the number and the word.
Any real example, such as ‘five’ and 5.

Set out seven spoons (or socks) on the table so it is easy to see how many. Write the number word on a card next to them.
For example 5 spoons in one row and 2 in a second row, or pairs with one on its own. The word is seven.
