Explanation

“Maydondagi bolalar” (Children on the playground) in the textbook is a story by Mahmud Murodov, which touches on children’s dreams and future professions. We do not retell it; we read our own text. A dream opens the way to choosing a profession, but reaching a dream needs study and work. We put into a table the heroine’s dream and the steps she is taking towards it. This table helps our “My chosen profession” text.

Worked examples
Text “Nodira’s plan”. When she grows up, Nodira wants to be a vet. So she reads books about animals. With the neighbours’ permission she gives their cat water and food. One day she went to an animal clinic with her father. The vet said: “This job needs both knowledge and kindness.” Nodira started a diary and writes down something new she learns every day.
Table: dream – vet; steps – reading books, caring for a cat, visiting the clinic, keeping a diary.
Class activity

“Dream table”: children ask three classmates about their dreams, fill in a table and name one step towards each dream.
