Question: “Is it small?” Answer: “Yes, it is.” or “No, it isn’t. It’s big.” For people: “Is he old?” “Is she young?” “Are they happy?” — “Yes, they are.” In a question “is” comes first: Is it …?

— Is it small? — Yes, it is. It’s a mouse.
— Is she young? — No, she isn’t. She’s old.
Class activity

“Guess the animal”: a child thinks of a secret animal. The class asks “Is it big?”, “Is it a pet?”, “Is it beautiful?”. The answers are only “Yes, it is.” or “No, it isn’t.”
