Explanation

The book has friends called Ben, Olivia, David, Leo and Tina. Names start with a capital letter. Count from zero: zero, one … ten, then eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty. The numbers 13 to 19 end in “-teen”.

Worked examples
Mini counting chant: “Zero, one, two — Dilnoza, me and you! Three, four, five — Bobur’s kite can fly!”
This is my friend: “This is my friend. His name’s Ben. He’s eight.”
Class activity

“Number chain”: children stand in a circle and count from 0 to 20 in turn. When someone says “fifteen”, everybody sits down, then counting goes on.
