Explanation

Farm animals: cow, donkey, duck, goat, horse, sheep. Places on a farm: barn, field, pond. “Sheep” is the same in the plural: one sheep, two sheep.

Worked examples
The cow is in the field. The duck is on the pond.
Mini chant: “Cow in the field, duck on the pond, sheep and a goat — sing along!”
Class activity

“Farm sounds”: the teacher shows an animal picture. Children make its sound and say the name: “Moo! It’s a cow!”
