Explanation

Activities: fly a kite, play baseball, play basketball, play field hockey, play tennis, ride a horse, roller-skate, take photographs. For games we say “play” and no “the”: play tennis.

Mini chant: “Fly a kite, ride a horse, roller-skate — it’s great!”

“Mime”: a child acts out an activity and the class guesses: “Play tennis!” The one who guesses goes next.
