Story: play nicely

Student’s Book pp. 74
GoalUnderstand a short story and talk about the value “play nicely”.
New words
fair · adolatliwin · yutmoqrule · qoidasorry · kechirasiz
Explanation

In the book’s story the children argue in a game, then remember the rules and make up. The value: in games we follow the rules, we don’t hurt friends, and say “Sorry” if we make a mistake. Phrase: “That’s not fair!”

Worked examples
“A fair game”. Sardor and Jasur are playing football. Jasur touched the ball with his hand, but the referee didn’t see. Sardor says “That’s not fair!” Jasur thinks for a moment. “Sorry,” he says. “Let’s play again!” They play by the rules. At the end it’s a draw. Both are happy.
Class activity

“Rules”: groups write 3 rules for a game (wait for your turn, listen to the whistle, say “sorry”). Then they play, following the rules.
