Explanation

Four kinds of art: photography — taking pictures with a camera, drawing — using a pencil, sculpture — making a figure from clay or stone, painting — using paint. Look at a picture and name the kind: “It’s a painting.” A clay bear is a sculpture.

Worked examples
It’s a drawing. It’s a pencil drawing of a horse.
A picture of the Registan made with paints: “It’s a painting.”
Class activity

“Class sculpture”: groups make one shared figure from clay or plasticine. When it’s ready, say “It’s a sculpture!” and give it a name.
