Explanation

Before crossing: “Stop. Look. It’s safe now. Let’s cross.” The letters “qu” sound like “kw”: queen, quick, quiet. The letter “x” sounds like “ks”: ox, box, X-ray. Tongue twister: “A queen bee asks a quick question. A fox fixes six boxes.”
