Winter stories II
Textbook Part 1, pp. 34–35
GoalRead the continuation of a story and put the events in the correct order.
New words
to forgive · kechirmoqto apologise · uzr so‘ramoqon purpose · atayinorder, sequence · ketma-ketlik
Explanation
In a story events come in order: first, then, at the end. If the order is broken, the meaning becomes unclear. Apologising when we make a mistake and forgiving a friend are good habits. In the textbook story’s second part, the character also stops to think about what he is doing.
Worked examples
“The snowman. Part 2”. Ulug‘bek came to his friends. “Sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose,” he said. The children forgave him. The next day they made a bigger snowman together. Ulug‘bek wrapped his own scarf around it.
Order: he apologised → they forgave him → together they made a new snowman.
Class activity
Three picture cards (broken snowman, boy apologising, new snowman) are given mixed up. Children put them in order and retell the story.
