Explanation

A child who can read does not wait for anyone — they open a book and read it themselves. The textbook has a poem on this theme by Tursunboy Adashboyev. Today we talk about why reading is useful and read a short story.

Worked examples
“I read by myself”. Laylo opened a book. Before, she used to ask her grandmother to read to her. Now she knows the letters. Laylo read the fairy tale herself. Her grandmother was glad and praised her.
Main idea: if you can read, you can enter the world of books by yourself.
Class activity

“Hidden word”: the teacher writes mixed-up letters on the board (t, i, k, o, b); children find and read the word: kitob (book).
