Explanation
The textbook has a poem about winter by Nurbek Turmuhamedov. In winter it snows, streams and canals freeze, and trees put on white “clothes”. Words that end with the same sound are rhyming words: qor (snow) — bor (there is), muz (ice) — yuz (face).
Worked examples
“Winter has come”. In the morning I looked out of the window. Everything was covered with white snow. The water in the stream had frozen. The trees had put on white clothes. I quickly got dressed and ran into the yard.
Rhyming words: qor — bor, muz — yuz, oq — yoq.
Class activity
“Happens — doesn’t happen” game: the teacher says an event (The river freezes. Tulips bloom. It snows.). If it happens in winter, children clap.
