Explanation
14 January is Defenders of the Homeland Day. On this day the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan were founded. Soldiers guard our country. Every young person can also be a support for their country.
Worked examples
“My dad’s holiday”. Today is 14 January. It is Defenders of the Homeland Day. My dad served as a soldier. I drew a picture for my dad. There is a flag and a sun in the picture. Dad saw the picture and hugged me.
Main idea: soldiers guard the homeland, and we respect them.
Class activity
Children draw a greeting card for Defenders of the Homeland Day and write one word on it: «Rahmat!» (Thank you!).
