Explanation
The textbook has a poem about books by Po‘lat Mo‘min. A book is the mother of knowledge: it has fairy tales, poems and facts about life. A book does not speak, but it teaches like a teacher. It lights the path of learning like the sun.
Worked examples
“A magic friend”. I have a friend. It does not talk, but it teaches me many things. It has fairy tales, poems and pictures. From it I learned about animals, mountains and stars. This friend is a book!
Main idea: a book is a friend who doesn’t talk but teaches everything.
Class activity
“What is it?”: a child describes an object without naming it (e.g. a book: it has pages, pictures inside...), and the others guess.
