Review: capital letters

Textbook Part 2, pp. 46–49

New words
capital letter · bosh harfsmall letter · kichik harfname · nom
Explanation

Capital letters go on: 1) the first word of a sentence; 2) people’s names, surnames and patronymics; 3) place names; 4) animals’ pet names. The same word gets a capital when it is a name and a small letter when it is an ordinary word: Arslon (a name) — arslon (lion).

Worked examples
Doston Buxoroga bordi va Uchqur ismli otni ko‘rdi. (Doston went to Bukhara and saw a horse named Uchqur.)
Asal asal yeydi. (Asal eats honey.) — a name and an ordinary word
Class activity
