New words
table · jadvalrow · qatorcolumn · ustunwhere they meet · kesishma
Explanation
We can write addition results in a table. Find the first addend in the left column and the second in the top row. The sum is in the box where they meet. The table can be used for subtraction too.
Worked examples
Row 4, column 3 → the box shows 7 (4 + 3 = 7).
Madina wrote 4 + 2 = 6 and Akmal wrote 6 − 2 = 4 — both described the same picture.
Class activity
Draw an empty 5×5 addition table on the board. Children take turns filling one box; the class claps to agree.
