Compound adjectives
Adjectives made of two or more bases are compound adjectives. They are mostly written together: ochiqko‘ngil (open-hearted), mehnatsevar (hardworking), vatanparvar (patriotic), xushmuomala (courteous), tezyurar (fast-moving). A compound adjective names one whole attribute, not the sum of its parts: ochiqko‘ngil describes a frank, sincere person. Some are written as two separate words: ikki qavatli (two-storey). So it is useful to check a spelling dictionary. A compound adjective also joins a noun and answers qanday?.
“Two bases”: split compound adjectives (mehnatsevar, vatanparvar, xushmuomala) into bases and give their meaning.
