A blog post about a place I like
A blog post has a title, a date and a text. We write about ourselves, so we use I, my and me. We also give our opinion with adjectives such as amazing, exciting, interesting, wonderful and beautiful. We use because for reasons and so for results: I loved it because it was beautiful, so I want to go again. We put events in order with first, then, after that and finally. Before you write, make a mind map with four questions: where, who, what and why. Never put your full name, address or school in a blog.
| Where? | Who? | What? | Why? |

| a place by the Nile | my cousin and I | a boat trip and photos | it was calm and beautiful |
A morning on the Nile
12 April
I had an amazing morning in Aswan! First, my cousin Hagar and I took a boat on the Nile. The water was calm and the sun was warm. Then we ate fresh bread and cheese in a small café by the water. After that we walked along the path and took photos of the palm trees. Finally we went home. I loved it because it was beautiful, so I want to go again!
Mind map. The child draws a circle with a place in the middle and four lines: where, who, what, why. Then the child writes a title and a date and a short blog post of five sentences from the map. The grown-up reads it and says what is interesting.
