Explanation

In Units 10 to 12 we learned words for eco-tourism (accommodation, sustainable, respect, protected area, snorkelling), for wildlife (habitat, migrate, flock, wild), for helping (donate, support, volunteer, participate, charity) and for the story (carpenter, yard, order, dome). We also learned two-part verbs: give back (to do something good for others), help out (to help with a job), look after (to take care of), start up (to begin) and be kind to (to treat gently). Two-part verbs have two or three words but one meaning. Put the object in the right place: We look after the plants. Read page 102 of your book with a grown-up and then use these words in your own sentences.

That is kind. Who will look after the plants in the holidays?

Tarek

The volunteers will. They give back to our school.

Mother

Good. Ask a teacher first.

Listen. Tarek and his mother talk about helping.
