Discover Term 1: Axis 2, Chapter 3
GoalName things that plants give us.
New words
cotton · a plant with soft white fibres used to make clothwood · what a tree is made of; we use it to build thingsherb · a plant with leaves that give taste or smell, such as mintfruit · the part of a plant with seeds inside; many are good to eat
Explanation
Plants give us many things. We eat fruits, vegetables, rice and wheat. Cotton grows on a plant and makes soft cloth for clothes. Wood from trees makes doors, chairs and boats. Herbs such as mint give taste to our food and tea. Palm trees give us dates and shade. Plants also give shade and homes to animals. We must take care of plants.
