Make a shopping list for 5 things your family needs. Write a heading first.
A heading and 5 items, one under the other. The child counts them.

Draw a table with 2 rows (you and a family member) and 2 columns (Monday, Tuesday). Write how many books or toys each of you used each day.
Any table with numbers in the 4 boxes. Ask: which box has the biggest number?

Count the cups, plates and spoons in the kitchen. Write the three numbers in a table.

Make a block graph with 10 squares of paper: ask 10 friends or family members if they like cats, dogs or neither. Stack one square for each answer.
The columns add up to the number of people asked. The child says which column is tallest.
