Explanation

To stand against discrimination we must first notice it. If someone is not allowed to join a game or is being laughed at, we notice and do not stand aside. We are kind and respect people’s differences. Without fear we say “This is not good”, go to the hurt child and invite them to play. If the problem is serious, we tell a trusted adult (a teacher or parent). Compassion, fairness and kindness help us here.

Worked examples
“A game for all”. At break children were skipping. Dilfuza saw Sanjar sitting in a wheelchair. So he would not be left out, she gave him one end of the rope: “Will you turn it?” Sanjar was happy. Then other children joined them too. Everyone played together.
Class activity

“Friendly words”: in groups children write 3 kind sentences and 3 helpful actions for a child who has been left out, and act them out.
