Explanation

Self-management means being able to do what is needed even when we do not feel like it. A daily routine helps: we set separate time for getting up on time, exercise, lessons, rest, play and sleep. Time never comes back, so we do not waste it: instead of an hour on the phone we can read or do sport. To strengthen discipline we make a plan, finish what we begin and overcome laziness.

Worked examples
“My schedule”. Umida gets up in the morning, first makes her bed, washes and exercises. After school she rests, then does homework. In the evening she reads for half an hour and goes to bed at nine. Because she lives by this routine, she has time for everything and does not get tired.
Class activity

“My day”: children draw a round clock and colour in parts of the day (sleep, lessons, play, helping). Then they compare in pairs.
