Explanation
The textbook has the poem “My mother’s hands” by Valijon Ahmadjon. A mother’s hands never rest: they cook, sew and stroke the child. We show love to our mother by helping her.
Worked examples
“My mum’s hands”. My mum’s hands never rest. In the morning they make a tasty breakfast. In the daytime they sew a button on my shirt. In the evening they stroke my hair while she sings a lullaby. I help my mum too and clear the dishes.
A cinquain: Mother. Kind, caring. Cooks, sews, cuddles. My mother is my closest person. Mummy.
