Explanation
The snowdrop is the first flower of spring; it is white. In the textbook poem the poet loves the snowdrop especially because it brings the spring. The snowdrop is in the Red Book (of protected plants), so we do not pick it. In spring red tulips also bloom on the hills.
Worked examples
“The snowdrop”. The snow had just melted. A small white flower appeared on the hill. It was a snowdrop. It bloomed before all the other flowers and brought the spring. We did not pick it; we only looked at it.
Riddle: It wears a red cap and decorates the hills in spring. (Answer: lola — tulip)
Class activity
“Find the flower”: the teacher says a riddle about a flower, and children point to the right picture (snowdrop, tulip, violet).
