Left — right

Explanation
Most people write with their right hand — that side is “right”, the other is “left”. Things in a row can be counted from the left or from the right. A square has 4 corners: top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right. Remember: the right hand of a person facing us is on our left side.
Worked examples
A row of cars: red, blue, yellow. The blue car is in the middle, the red car is on its left.
A star is drawn in the top right corner of a square and a heart in the bottom left corner.
Class activity
“Teacher says”: “Raise your right hand! Stand on your left foot! Touch your right ear with your left hand!” A child who makes a mistake stays in the game and simply tries again.
