Sequence
Textbook pp. 26–27
GoalUnderstand that events happen in a set order — a sequence.
New words
sequence · ketma-ketlikorder · tartibfirst · avvalthen · so‘ng
Explanation
A sequence is the order in which things or events follow each other. A tree is first a small seedling, then it grows, then it gives fruit. If we mix up the order, it stops making sense. A computer also follows instructions in an exact sequence.
Worked examples
Seed → sprout → tree → fruit.
Egg → chick → hen.
Class activity
The teacher gives 4 mixed-up pictures (e.g. steps of building a snowman); groups put them in order and number them 1, 2, 3, 4.
