Explanation
We get information about the world through our senses. People have five senses: sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch. Eyes see, ears hear, the nose smells, the tongue tastes, and the skin feels hot and cold.
Worked examples
The school bell rang — we knew it with our ears.
The smell of plov came from the kitchen — we sensed it with our nose.
Class activity
“Which sense?”: the teacher says a situation (“The ice cream is cold”) and children point to the right body part.
