Explanation
Many things are made from other things. It was wheat — it became flour — it became bread. It was milk — it became yogurt, cheese, butter. Each change has its own sequence of steps.
Worked examples
It was an apple → it became juice and jam.
It was cotton → thread → cloth → a shirt.
Class activity
Children take turns telling the steps of making a sandwich: wash hands, slice bread, spread butter, add cheese.
