Explanation
Everything in a sequence has something before it and something after it. The seasons go winter, spring, summer, autumn — then winter again. Letters in the Uzbek alphabet also have an order: A, B, D, E, F, G, H... “Before” means earlier, “after” means later.
Worked examples
Summer comes after spring. Summer is before autumn.
In the alphabet, F comes before G, and E comes after D.
Class activity
“Living alphabet”: 7 children get the letters A, B, D, E, F, G, H and line up in order. The teacher asks “Who is before E?”
