Explanation
Our tongue senses taste. Honey and grapes are sweet, salt is salty, lemon is sour, pepper and raw onion are hot. Never taste something unknown — ask an adult first.
Worked examples
Sweet: watermelon, honey. Sour: lemon, sour cherry.
Salty: a pickled cucumber. Hot: chilli pepper, raw onion.
