Make a fist and place it next to your chest. Is it about as big as your heart? Draw the heart and write one job it does.

With a family member, find a pulse and count 15 seconds. Multiply by 4. Write the number of beats in a minute.

A pulse count is 24 beats in 15 seconds. How many beats in a minute?

Predict: will your pulse be faster after 20 jumps or after reading a book? Test it with a grown-up and say if you were right.
