GoalChoose a job that fits my interests and strengths, make a poster and give kind feedback.
New words
dream job · the job I would love to do when I grow upposter · a big picture with words that tells people about somethingtitle · the name at the top of a posterproud · happy about something good I did
Explanation
Think about what you like and what you do well. Then think of a job that fits. That is your dream job. You can change your mind later. A poster about a job has a title, which is the name of the job. It has a drawing of a person doing the job, the tools, and the interests and skills the worker needs. Use big letters and bright colours, and check your spelling. Show your poster to a partner. Your partner says the best part and gives one kind idea. At the end, draw yourself as a grown-up doing your dream job, and feel proud.
My interests→My strengths→A job that fits→My poster
Worked examples
Malak likes building with blocks, is patient and draws neat plans. A job that fits her could be an engineer or a builder.

Skills
maths, drawing, patience
Malak’s poster plan lists the title, the group, the tools and the skills.
Habiba looks at Malak’s poster and says, “The best part is your big drawing, because I can see what an engineer does. Maybe you can write the names of the tools.”
Class activity
Make your dream-job poster. Choose a job. Write the title in big letters. Draw a person doing the job. Add the tools and two skills or interests. Show it to a partner and listen to the feedback. Then draw yourself as a grown-up doing the job.
