Designing, gardening and selling
Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
Try the paper chain again with a grown-up. What change makes it longer or stronger? Tell your family.
For example: wider strips, taping each loop twice, cutting a spiral.
2
Draw a plan for a small garden on a balcony or window. Which vegetables will you grow, and where will they get sun?
Answers differ. The plan should show pots in a sunny place.
3
Plant a bean seed in a cup. Water it a little each day and draw it for a week.
The seed sprouts, then roots and a stem grow.
4
Think of a healthy food and make up a short, true slogan for it.
Any short, true sentence, for example “Sweet, crunchy carrots!”
5
Ask a grown-up to describe an advert they like. What makes it easy to remember?
For example: a clear message, a happy face, a short slogan.
