Объяснение
Subordinating conjunctions link members or sentences that do not have equal rights, that is, one is subordinate to the other. This group includes conjunctions such as chunki, negaki, ya’ni, agar, garchi. In a compound sentence they link the dependent part — the subordinate clause — with the main part, the main clause, and give it a meaning such as reason, condition or explanation. The difference from coordinating conjunctions is that here the parts are not equal: the subordinate clause completes the thought of the main clause and serves it. A subordinating conjunction often stands at the beginning of the subordinate clause, and a comma is put before it.
Примеры
Kechikdim, chunki avtobus kelmadi (I was late because the bus did not come) — the subordinate clause gives the reason.
Agar vaqt bo‘lsa, kutubxonaga boraman (If there is time, I will go to the library) — the subordinate clause gives a condition.
Работа в классе
With a subordinating conjunction “Why?”: the teacher asks (Why were you late?) and you answer with “chunki”.
