Объяснение

When we say a consonant, the air is blocked by the lips, tongue or teeth. Uzbek has 24 consonant sounds. In voiced consonants the voice takes part: b, v, g, d, j, z, y, l, m, n, ng, r, g‘. Voiceless ones are only noise: p, f, k, t, s, sh, x, ch, q, h. Many consonants form pairs: b–p, d–t, g–k, v–f, z–s, j–sh, g‘–x. At the end of a word a voiced consonant may sound voiceless, but we still write the original letter: kitob (book) sounds like “kitop” but is written with b.

Примеры
Lip consonants: b, p, m, v, f — bola (child), paxta (cotton), meva (fruit), farzand (child, offspring).
Pairs: dil (heart) — til (tongue/language): d versus t changes the meaning.
Работа в классе

“Is there voice?”: children put a hand on the throat and say b, p, d, t, z, s; they find which ones make the throat vibrate.
