Review: a text, a dialog, tenses and conditionals

English Preparatory 1 Term 1, Review 2: pp. 101–103
GoalRead a text with gaps, finish a dialog, and choose the right tense, first conditional or must / mustn’t.
New words
negative · bad or not helpfulparticipate · to take partcommunity · the people who live in one placeproject · a piece of work with a planimpact · a strong effectsmart choice · a wise decision made after thinking
Explanation

A text with gaps needs the right word: read the whole sentence, find the part of speech, and check meaning. In a dialog, answer the question that comes before the gap. For tenses, look for clue words: every day shows the present simple, now shows the present continuous, yesterday shows the past simple, tomorrow with a plan shows going to. If + present simple, will + verb gives a result. Should gives advice. Must and mustn’t give rules. Also check the end marks and capital letters. Here is a short text with gaps and a dialog about a community project, both new.
