Review: a text, a dialog, tenses and conditionals
A text with gaps needs the right word: read the whole sentence, find the part of speech, and check meaning. In a dialog, answer the question that comes before the gap. For tenses, look for clue words: every day shows the present simple, now shows the present continuous, yesterday shows the past simple, tomorrow with a plan shows going to. If + present simple, will + verb gives a result. Should gives advice. Must and mustn’t give rules. Also check the end marks and capital letters. Here is a short text with gaps and a dialog about a community project, both new.

Are you going to participate in the street garden project?
Yes, I am. We should start this week, because spring is coming.
What must volunteers bring?
They must bring a small tool, and they mustn’t forget water.
Tense detective. Write six sentences, one for each tense or structure in the table. Mix them up. A partner reads each and says which clue word shows the form.
