A Dos and Don’ts poster and a check-up

English Preparatory 1 Term 1, Unit 6: pp. 94–100
GoalMake a Dos and Don’ts poster with must and mustn’t, and check what I learned in Unit 6.
New words
dos and don’ts · things to do and things not to doslogan · a short, catchy sentencevolunteer · a person who helps without payimpact · a strong effectresponsibility · a duty you must dorespect · treating others and places well
Explanation

A Dos and Don’ts poster has two columns: You must … and You mustn’t … . Write at least three sentences in each column. Use a short title or slogan. Pick a place with real rules, for example a swimming pool: You must walk near the pool. You mustn’t run. Present the poster to your group and explain why each rule helps. In the Roundtable, each person shares one word from Unit 6. Check-up: you can read rules, use must and mustn’t, review the three tenses, join ideas with because, so, although and but, and write a post. Rules protect people and places, so following rules has a good impact.
