Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
Look in a mirror. Show happy, sad, surprised and sleepy with your face only. Ask a grown-up to guess each one.
The child shows four feelings and the grown-up guesses by looking, without words.
2
Pretend to phone your grandma with a toy or an unplugged phone. Say who you are, ask how she is, listen and say thank you.
The child greets, says their name, asks a question, listens and says thank you.
3
Draw a map of your street with four places and a map key. Say who works in each place.
The map has four small pictures, roads and a key. Workers match the places, for example a teacher at the school.
4
Play shop with a family member. Use prices up to 10 LE. Work out the total and the change for two sales.
Check each change by subtracting the total from the money paid. For example, 10 − 6 = 4.
5
Think of one thing you ate today. Name three workers who helped it reach your table, and say thank you to one of them.
For bread: a farmer, a miller or baker, and a seller or driver. Any sensible chain is fine.
