Beautiful and unique places

Discover P2 Term 2: Axis 3, Chapter 2
GoalName some special places along the Nile and say what makes a place unique.
New words
unique · special; there is no other exactly like ittemple · a big old building made long ago for worshipisland · land with water all around it
Explanation

Every city along the Nile has something special. Near Aswan the Nile flows around islands, and people take felucca rides. An old temple stands on an island near Aswan. Near Luxor there are huge old temples and a valley with the tombs of ancient kings. Cairo is a very big city with old markets, mosques and churches, and the pyramids of Giza are near it. Alexandria is by the Mediterranean Sea, with a cool breeze and a big library. Something unique is special, because there is no other place exactly like it. When we visit old places, we must be careful and respectful.

In Alexandria, Seif walks beside the sea. He feels the cool breeze and hears the waves.
At an old site, Habiba’s family follows the rules. They walk carefully, they do not touch the painted walls, and they put litter in the bin.
