Explanation

The number after is the next number when we count on. The number after 4 is 5. The number before is the one we say just ahead. The number before 4 is 3. The number track helps. Look one box to the right to find the number after. Look one box to the left to find the number before. If you are not sure, say the numbers out loud from 1.

Class activity
