Grade 9 review (test items)
During the year you met the main areas of economics: an entrepreneur starts with a business idea and a business plan; a firm’s costs TC = FC + VC, revenue TR = p · q, profit P = TR − TC, efficiency R = P : TC · 100%. State budget revenue comes from taxes (direct — income, profit, property, land; indirect — excise, VAT 12%), and banks work with deposits and loans (simple interest I = P · r · t, compound interest P(1 + r)ⁿ). In macroeconomics there are GDP, GNP = GDP + E − I, real value = nominal : I, inflation rate = (CPI₁ − CPI₀) : CPI₀ · 100%, unemployment rate = unemployed : labour force · 100%, and in the international economy exports, imports, exchange rates and trade barriers are the main concepts. In test-style questions first identify the quantity asked and its units, then choose a formula, calculate and check the result for sense; eliminating wrong options one by one also helps. All numbers are conditional examples; real rates and exchange rates are updated in official sources.
“Test marathon of the year”. The class splits into four teams; each team makes up four-option questions from two chapters and gives them to another team. Those answering write the formula, show the calculation on the board and say why they rejected the wrong options.
