Explanation
Let us recall: information is knowledge about the world. We receive it with our senses. It goes from a source to a receiver. It can be presented with words, sound and pictures. It is kept on carriers, handled with devices, and we follow the safety rules.
Worked examples
Riddle: round, red, nice smell, sweet and juicy, grows on a tree. It is an apple. The conclusion rests on information from four senses.
Logic task: a clock ticks, a bell rings, a bird sings. All three are sources of sound information.
Class activity
“Mini test”: split the class into two teams. The teacher asks questions from the chapter (senses, carriers, devices, rules). A correct answer scores 1 point for the team.
