Protecting information

Textbook: pp. 39–41
GoalKnow what personal information is and the rules for protecting it on the Internet.
New words
personal information · shaxsiy axborotpassword · parolsecret, private · maxfiyunknown, stranger · notanish
Explanation

Personal information is your name, surname, address, phone number, school and passwords. We do not tell these to strangers. We do not enter unknown websites, open unknown links or answer unknown messages. We never meet someone we met online without parents’ permission. We do not post a friend’s photo without their consent.

Worked examples
A stranger in a game asks: “Where do you live? Which school do you go to?” The right response: we do not tell, and we tell an adult.
A good password is long and made of letters, numbers and signs. It is not a name and a birth year.
Class activity

“Traffic-light rules”: the teacher names situations. Green card = safe (telling your name to a classmate), red card = unsafe (telling your password to a stranger). Children raise a card and explain why.

2
What do we do if an unknown link arrives?
3
Give three examples of personal information.
