Explanation
Information is knowledge about the world around us. We receive it with five sense organs: eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin. Our brain thinks about what we received and draws a conclusion. For example: yellow, sour, with a special smell — so it is a lemon.
Worked examples
Our ears heard the bell ring, and the brain concluded: “The lesson has begun.”
Our hand touched the teapot and felt it was hot. Conclusion: we must be careful.
Class activity
“Mystery bag”: put 5 things (apple, pencil, cotton wool, stone, small bell) in a bag. A child with closed eyes feels one thing, says what it is as a conclusion, then opens the bag to check.
